The Cinque Terre, Italy scores a medium on our Cat Safari meter. Chances are about 50% you will see a cat if you keep your eyes open. The area consists of five different villages, but our luck seems to be the same in each village (though we had heard Vernazza was loaded with cats). We had read that around the docks at dusk they come out, but we didn't have that much luck. Maybe you will. We had better luck dining out. We always choose a patio seat and this time did not disappoint on a few occasions when some cat friends approached our table. The map below gives a general idea about where to start your search. Make sure you buy some dry cat food to keep with you and start cat-spotting!
